The Churches l PRESBYTETIAN.— Appropriate Christmas services will be held morning and evening, 11 and 8. Morning subject, “A Xmas Meditation.” Bible class and S. S., 12:15; Junior C. E, 3 p. m. LieuteuantO.H.Dockery, Jr., of Duluth, the district manager’ of the recruiting offices for the U. S. army, was in the city yester- day and swore in two men for service with Uncle Sam’s regu- lars. Frank L. Croake and Thomas Anderson were the names of the recruits, and they were secred by Sergeant Eilek, in charge of the local station, They will be shipped in a few days to St. Paul. Lieutenant Dockery expressed himself as well pleased with the work that is being done here by Sergeant Eilek and his assistant, Private Brennan, You will have to hurry if you find a nicer box of candy for your friend than those they have at The Model.
