The large cedar yards at Shot- ley makes 1t possible for the farmers to dispose of a great deal of timber and gives them quite a little money from that source. QUIRING. Hendrickson last Sunday. T. P. Dooher and Gust Gen dreau made a business trip to Blackduck Tuesday this week John E. Anderson made a urip to Blackduck last week. Ander son has taken the job of hauling logs for Chas. Flaska this winter. R, Carlson of Crookston called on C. J. Carison and family last week., He was on his way to Blackduck, with two teams, where he is going to work for Irwin & O’Brien. REBEDEW. A. E. Kirkpatrick arrived home Monday. E. A, Esterdahl was a business visitor at Bemidji one day last week. Henry Alsop spent the latter part of last week at E. D. Bent- ley’s, at Louis, Herb Wilson, Culver Horey and Miss Varlerie Orr drove to Twin Lakes, Thursday. Herb Wilson of Tenstrike has been visiting in this vicinity for the past ten days. Wm. Olmstead gave a danee Saturday night which was well 'attended. All report a very pleasant time. The Messrs. Williams and White of Fairmont, N. D., arrived bere today for a winter’s sojourn with H, A, Matheny. Elza Garrison, who has spent the summer at various points in Montana and Dakota, arrived here one day last week. Miss Lottie Baumgardner, Mrs. Geo. Garrison and Mrs. G. V. Thomas were Tenstrike vis- itors one day last week. The Misses Baumgardner and Arnold leave here Friday to spend the holidays with the lat- ter’s parents at Crookston. The Misses Maud and Ella Thompson and the Messrs. Booth, Wilson, Hilstead and Foglequist of Tenstrike attended the dance at W. Olmstead’s, Sat- urday night. Louss. E. D. Bentley completed his new barn this week.
