VOLUME 4. NUMBER 182. GROGERY STORE TO BE OPENED BY I. 8. BOYER New Establishment Going Into Build- ing Formerly Occupied by Jerrard Plumbing Company. L S. Boyer is toopen upa new grocery store in his building on Minnesota avenue, which up to the present time has been oc- cupied by the Jerrard Plumbing company and C. C. Folkers. The Jerrard company is mov- ing today to its new quarters across the street in the building formerly occupied by McConkey, while Mr. Folkers has moved his jewelry store to quarters in the building occupied by the Essler Employment office. It is the plan of Mr. Boyer to put in one of the best=stores in the city. He will have ample room fcr alarge establishment, having the entire first floor and basement of the building. For this winter his line will be gro- ceries exclusively, and later he may add other hnes. His plans in this respect are not definately made. Mr. Boyer is now busy getting things into shape, putting down a new hardwood floor, ete., and expects to have his store open for business by the first of the month. Speaking abuut his new ven- ture, Mr. Boyer expressed his desire to get in off the ‘‘road” and settle down once more ~ where he can be athome. He has been traveling for a Milwau- kee hardware firm for seven years, and has found the work “not the best for s health. Will Open Drugstore Soon. F. A. Mayo expects to have his new drugstore, in the quarters in his building now occupied by the hardware department of the E. H. Winter & Co. store, oper for business in a short time. E. H. Winter & Co. are moving out today, and Mr. Mayo will take possession at once. He expects his fixtures to arrive any day, and as soon as they come they will be installed. Most of the stock has already arrived and is being stored, awaiting the time for unpacking. Is Sorry Now. William Storm, the hquor- crazed prisoner who made a desperate attempt at suicide in his cell at the county jail this week, has entirely recovered from the ill effects of his ailment aud is now at liberty once more.
