The bid of Chapman & Peterson (said bid being the only bid for the building of two miles of road in the town of Taylor., and de- scribed as follows: Beginning at the north- west corner of section eight and running thence east two miles to the northeast corner of section nine) was on motion of Commis- sioner Saxerund, seconded by Commissioner Gunderson, accepted at the price of two and 50-100 dollars per running rod, said Chapman & Peterson to enter into contract and to fur- nish sufficient bond for the faithful perform- ance of said_ contract, The bid of C. Brong for the sum of eight hundred dollars (said bid being the only bid for the building of one mile of road, described as follows: Beginning at the northeast cor- ner of section three, town of Blackduck, thence running west one mile to the north- section three) was on mo- ner Olson, seconded by Commissioner Gunderson, accepted and ap- proved, said C. Brong to_enter into contract and to give good and sufficient bond for the fiathful performance of the conditions of said <ontract. ¢ The following resolution, introduced by Commissioner Saxerud and seconded by Ci missioner Gunderson. was adopted: resolved, by the board of county commission- ers of Beltrami county. that two hundred dol- lars be and is hereby appropriated out of the county revenue fund to the Beltrami county agricultural association for use at their fair to be held at Rlackduck on the 29th, 30th and 3lst of August, 1906; and further, Be it re- solved, that the county auditor is hereby in- structed to immediately draw an auditor’s war- rant ‘for the said two hundred dollars, and the county traesurer is hereby instructed to pay said warrant upon presentation.” On motion duly made, scconded and car- ried, the report of the committee on a pro- posed route for a road to be laid in the towns of Durand, Turtle Lake and Northern was read and approved. Sai i able, the missioners’ der made and filed of the laying out and establishing a county road to run according to said committee’s report, as fol- lows, to-wit: Beginning at a point eight rods south of the southeast corner of section twenty-nine, township one hundred forty-nine, range thirty-three, thence south on section line to the Leach lake road, and running thence in a southwesterly direction over the most favorable way to the present established pub- lic crossing over Lake Julia creck in section thirty-two, township one hundred forty-nine, range thirty-three, and following said public road to the east end of Main street in the village of Puposky, according to the recorded plat thereof filed ‘in the office of the register of deeds in and for said county of Beltrami; thence west, following Main street to the in- tersection of Third avenue in said village; thence south, following Third avenue to the otie-sixteenth section corner in_the center of the southwest quarter of section thirty-two, township one hundred forty-nine, range thirty- three: thence south on the one-sixteenth line of the southwest quarter of section thirty-two, township one hundred forty-nine, range thirty- three, to the town line between the towns of Durand and Turtle Lake; thence west two rods, more or less, to the section line between sections five and six, town one hundred forty- eight, range thirty-three; thence south three miles, following section line to the southeast corner of section eighteen, town one hundred forty-eight, range thirty-three, thence in a southeasterly direction, following the present township road as surveyed and recorded. On motion of Commissioner Olson, seconded by Commissioner Saxerud, and carried, the ap- p{ica!inn of Christopher Rogers to sell in- toxicating liquors at Shotley was rejected. On motion board adjourned to meet at 2 o'clock p. . Afterngon Session. _ Board met per adjournment, with all mem- bers present. . On motion_ of Commissioner Gunderson, seconded by Commissioner Olson, the applica. tions of the following parties for_abatement of taxes were rejected: Ramsey Juneau, J. S. Pillsbury & Co., H. B.
