Theodore Gullickson, agent for the Hamm Brewing company, returned this morning from a business trip to Northome. L. D, Felsing arrived in the city yesterday from Crookston and is spending the day with some of the local merchants, M. E Thurston and J. P. Sig- nal drove to Puposky this morn- ing, where they will look after some business affairs today. P. M. Mark of Fosston has been for several days the guest of his daughter, Mrs. Rowland Gilmore. Mr. Mark has not been in the best of health, lately, and decided to recuperate among the pines. The members of the Bemidji band wish the Pioneér to extend a challenge on their behalf to the K. of P. lodge to play a game of ball for glory, the lodge to name the weapons and the date for the game. Cook of Blackduck, who was in the city yesterday after- noon in the interest of the fair, which will be held in his town on August 29-30-31, returned home last evening and declared that he was well pleased with the en- couragement given him by the citizens of Bemidji. Roscoe Kaiser, son of Mr, and Mrs. A. Kaiser of Bagley, re- turned to his home yesterday afternoon after visiting here with his uncle and aunt, Dr. and Mrs. Gilmore, and with his grandpa, P. M. Mark. Roscoe and Mrs. Kaiser will leave Bagley today for Spokane, Washington, where they will visit with relatives and friends. Frank Wetherbee, the veteran traveling salesman who repre- sents the Noyes Bros. & Cutler Drug company in the Red River valley has left for grand Forks, after having spent a month on a valuable claim which he owns on| Pimush lake, in the northeastern part of Beltrami county. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Webster, father and mother of Mrs. G. M. Torrance, left this morning for their home in Minneapolis. They have spent the past three weeks in Bemidji, guests of Mr. and Mrs, Torrance, and expressed themselves as delighted with their sojourn among the pines. Rev. John Ferris of Duluth returned to his home last night, after having spent several days in Bemidji attending the Bible conference and visiting with old friends, Rev. Mr. Ferris was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. G. M, Torrance last evening at tea. He performed the marriage cere- mony of Mr. and Mrs. Torrance, several years ago. Sealed Bids.
