Decides to Vote Against Pending Edu- cation Bill. London, May 3.—The Irish members of parllament have openly revolted against the education bill. A meeting of the party in the house of commons during the day under the presidency of John Redmond resolved to vote against the second reading of the pro- posed measure. This decision greatly strengthens the hands of the Union- ists, who are united against the bill and who will be supported by many members of the Labor party who are opposed to any form of religious in- struction in the state schools. Quiet at Mount Carmel, Mount Carmel, Pa., May 3.—The peace was not gisturbed here during the day. While the situation is still somewhat tense, it is believed that the trouble is over and that the town will resume its normal condition soon.
