Finished Like Beltrami County Building. \ W. V. Joges of Sylvan, J. W. Bailey of Backus, C. W. Van Amber of Byron township and J B. Spencer of Walker, county commissioners of Ga,ss' county, yesterday made an inspection of the Beltrami county court house for the purpose of deciding as to the interior finishing of the court with local officials as to the cost, ete., of the interior of the build ing in this city. They were shown through the building by Auditor Wilmann and after hav- ing made a thorough examina- tion . expressed themselves as very highly pleased with the decorations and furniture. At the next meeting of the toard the Cass county commissioners will decide to finish the court house at Walker, which has been only partially built, in precisely the same manner as the Beltrami county court house was finished, the plans used for the latter structure having been secured by them for that purpose, To Whom It May Concern. THE EASTER VACATION Bemidji Schools Were Closed This Morring by Order of School Board. The annual Easter vacation of the Bemidji schools began this morning. At a meeting of the school board it was decided io hold the Baster vacation at this time on account of there being several cases of among the schoeol children, and it is reported that two teachers are affected. The diseaseappears i a very mild form, however, and ino: serious results are antici- pated. The local health board has taken hold of the matter and the disease have been placed un- der quarantine. The board will take every precaution against the spread .of the disease and Dr. Morrison, the chairman, re- quests that parents co-operate with the board by keeping their children at home and by not al- lowing them to where parents refuse to comply with this request the health officer will quarantine their homes. The teachers employed in the schools will not be allowed to attend any gatherings or leave the city until after the period of incubation has passed and the disease stamped out. During the vacation the school rooms will be fumigated thoroughly so that upon the reopening of school there will be o danger ofin- fection, 'SMALL BLAZE LAST NIGHT Office and Bara of Duluth Brewing Co. Storage Gutted By Fire. Fire broke out last night shortly before 7 o’clovk in the cold storage plant of the Duluth Brewing company near the M. & 1. tracks and before the flames had been subdued the office and barn, which are connected with the main building, were gutted. The loss has not been estimated, ‘| but will probably be several hun- dreds of dollars.
