Henry Prentiss, who ig at the head of the wireless telegraphy scheme which is being exploited in North Dakota spent last night in thejcity, returning to Grand Forks this morning. Mr. Pren- tiss states that the central station for the northwest will be at Grafton and other North Da- kota towns which have been decided upon definitely include Fargo, Grand Forks, Devils Lake, Minot, Dickinson, Mandan, Bis- marck. Jamestown, Valley City, Wahpeton, Oakes and Lidger- wood. Work will be started at once on the erection of the steel poles 150 feet'high, firmly planted, in these towns, after which the re- ceiving instruments as well as the sending apparatus will be installed. This is all very simpie and can be done in a short time. After the work over there is completed, the company will cover northern Minnesota, and Crookston will be the first town in this state that has wireless telegraphy conuections. This will be effected during the com- ing summer sowme time, the exact date depending on the progress made in North Dakota. § £ § Additional Locals § E. L. Naylor is spending a few days at.
