The banquet room was handsomely decorated in red and white, the Royal Arch colors, and some 75 sat at table. The evening con-! cluded with a number of post- prandial speeches. The new temple is very hand- some and convenient. 1t is pro- vided with numerous large ante, toilet and degree rooms while the lodge room is a spacious, nand- some hall. Maple floors are laid throughout while the woodwork is of dark oak. The building is a substantial! addition to Bewmidji, while the hall is one of the most beautiful in the state. |lake Night at Mississippi leet From Bemidji Lake. One of the most peeuliar phe- nomena, that ever occurred in the north country took place at the outlet of the Mississippi river from Bemidji lake last might, when a large number of dueks were imprisoned in thedee that formed over the lake. Passengers tof the south bound M. & I. noticed a large number of ducks at the outlet this morning but were surprised to see that when the birds attempted to fly they ‘|were unable to do so.
