Cleveland, Aug. 8.—“Five of the seven members of the executive board of the International Association of Bridge and Structural Iron Workers have voted in favor of a strike against the American Bridge company,” said Secretary J. J. McNamara. “The strike is contingent on the action that may be taken by Presi- dent Frank Buchapan. He is in Chi- cago, but we expect that he will ar- rive in Cleveland shortly. I have not ihe least idea that he will go against the vote of the executive board; that being so a strike, in my opinion, is in- evitable.” f i If the structural iron workers are |called out on account of the griev- jances that exist at New Haven, Conn., it is said 50,000 men will be involved, imostly in the Eastern states. In the event of a general strike forty-three counties in Eastern Ohio will be af- fected. TRAIN HITS STREET CAR. Two Persons Are Dead and Six Prob- ably Fatally Hurt.
