IT1s POSSIBLE that the Be- midji Bible Conference planned by the Presbyterians of northern Minnesota may have a very far reaching influence in the future growth of this city. The modest meeting which will be held here next month will contain the germ of a great institution inthe north- west. The great yearly gather- ing of students and teachers at Winona Lake, Indiana, had its origin in just this way and its be- ginning was fully as humble. In all the--northwest there is no point so suitable for a summer Chautauqua or an annual Bible school as Bemidji and it is with this thought in mind that the Presbyterians haye set to work. It behooves the people of Be- midji to further this movement by every means in their power. If such an institution can be per- -manently established it mateers not how small may be its begin- it will take but time to make it a gathering of inquiring minds from all parts of the Un- ion. Ease of access, beauty of location, rest and sport for the body—all these Bemidji has in abundant measure and the tend- ning; “The Road With The Big Berths” This is the title given by the Chicago Tribune to the CHICAGO, MILWAUKEE & ST.
