MinNEsOTA will this fall place on sale something like one hun- dred thousand acres of state ag- ricultural lands in northern Min- nesota. The state has more than three millicn acres of these lands and a law passed by the ‘recent legislature permits the sale of more than one hundred thousand acres each year. These lands will one day be among th> finest agricultural lands in the northwest and they can be secured atthe present time at comparatively low figures and upon almost rediculously easy terms. The average price per acre for which they have sold thus far is about $6 but it is be- lieved that the price will gradu- ally increase as the lands are | each year growing more valuable, Fifteen per cent of the pur- chase price must be paid at the time of the sale, while the bal- ance may be paid atany time within 40 years, interest atthe rate of four per cent. No one person may purchase more than 320 acres, No better land is to be found anywhere and for land which lies near to markets no more fav- orable terms were ever offered by any state, @ & foR oo ] 2 WILTON ITEMS.
