The first session of the com- mission appointed by Governor Johnson to investigate the chargos against Messrs. Loud, Sibley and Wright was held at the court house this morning. The commission consists of W, A. McIntyre of Red Lake Falls, Cleveland Van Dyke, the gover- nor’s executive clerk, and G. M. Torrance of this city. Both attorneys objected to the charges made against commissioners Sibley and Wright and moved that the cases against them be dismissed on the grounds that no specific charges had been made, that the charges were not sufficient to constitute a case, arrd that sufficient time had not been allowed for the preparation of the defense. Chairman Me- Intyre announced the commis- sion had no authority to rule upon the motion which will how- ever be made a part of the re- cord to b2 subnitted to Gov- arnor Johnson. Mr. Stone for the state an- nounced that ample time would be allowed the accused officials to secure evidence and witnesses on every charge. Adjournment was then taken until 2 o’clock.
