No. The Chiropractic and the Osteopath both aim to put in place that which is out of place, to right that which is wrong; but the Path- ology Diagnosis, Prognosis and Movements are entirely different. One of my patients, Mr. W. A. Casler, has taken both Chiropractic and Osteopoth treatments. Few states are so successful in helping their citizens to a bet- ter way of living than is Minne- sota. The resultsof the labors of Min« nesota’s dairy and food com- mission are known the world around and the state labor bureau is accomplishing equally great things in its pecular sphere. Last year there were 972 child- ren under the age of sixteen em- ployed in Minnesota; the year of 1904 shows but 770. Child labor is a most difficult thing to fight, and in a state like Minnesota, in which manufactures are increas- ing by leaps and bounds, it is nothing short of wonderful that there should be the steady de- crease of child labor which the reports of the past few years have shown. More power to the state labor bureau! THE most fertile land lies in the Red River valley. It produces the biggest crop of worry under the sun, Next year’s crop will not be in the ground for several months but they are already worrying themselves sick over Professor Conway McMillan warning of rust. The Minnesota State Art soci- ety has planned to exhibit its collection at the society’s rooms in the new state capitol during the meeting of the legislature, and before sending it to Winona. Romance Ends Happily. The consummation of a pretty romance occurred at the M. E. pafsonage yesterday, when Charles F. Harding; dn enterpris- ing young merchant from Nary and brother of the eighth grade teacher of Bemidji, and Miss Lena Nangle were quietly mar- ried. - The young couple hail from Pennsylyania where four years ago the engagement took place, but poor health brought Mr. Harding west where he has found health and prosperity and where his fiance has come to celebrate Christmas with him as his wife. The good wishes of the Pioneer follow the young couple. Beware of Ointments for Catarrh that Contain Mercury, as mercury will surely destroy the sense of smell and completely derange the whole system when entering it through the mucous surfaces. Such articles should never be used except on prescrip- tions from reputable physicians, as the damage they will do is ten fold to the good you can possibly derive from them. Hall’s Catarrh Cure, manufactured by F. J. Cheney & Co., Toledo, O., con- tains no mercury, and is taken in- ternally, acting directly upon the blood and mucous surfaces of tne system. Rector of St. Luke’s.—Ashburn- ham, Ontario, Testifies to the Good Qualities of Chamber-. lain’s Cough Remedy. Ashburnham, Ont., April 18, 1908.—I think it is only right that I should tell you what a won- derful - effect Chamberlain’s Cough Remedy has produced. The day before Easter I was so distressed with a cold and cough that I did not think to be able to take any duties the next day, as my voice was almost choked by the cough. The same day I re- ceived an order from you for a bottle of your Cough Remedy. I at once procured a sample bot- tleand took about three doses of the medi¢ine.. To my great relief the cough and cold had completely disappeared and I was able to preach threetimes on Easter Day. I know that this rapid and ef- fective cure was due to your Cough Remedy. I make thistes- timonial without solicitation, be- ing thankful to have found such a Godsent remedy. Respectfully yours, E. A. Langfeldt, M. A., Rector of St. Luke’s Church.
