Simons, city atforney of Northome, is in the city today on business. Mr. Simons is looking over land matters here today, being interested ina large tract near Northome. Axel Christianson of Northome jwas a visitor in Bemidji yester- i day, returning home last night. Mr: Christianson is employed at the Jackson mercantile estab- lishment in that city. The bath room at the Three Guardsmen will be open today. Numerous repairs have been made to the interior of the rooms and they present a much neater appearance than heretofore. W. J. Whiting of Minneapolis passed through the city last night enroute to Tenstrike and Black- duck, where he will make large purchases of cedar posts and poles which will be shipped to the Dakotas and southern Minnesota. Frank McGraw, formerly bookkeeper at the Crookston Lumber company in this city, is in the city today from Solway, where he is looking after the books of a number of lumber camps operated by the com- pany.
