Swanson of East Grand Forks arrived in the city yester- dav and today went out to his wood camps on Grass lake. He took with him a number of men who will be engaged in cutting wood at the camps the coming winter. E. B. Berman, who has been manager of the Palace Clothing company for the past yéar, has resigned his position and left this morning for Minneapolis, where he will make his headquarters while employed as a salesman for the Minneapolis Springcompany. Bert Naylor, a cousin of E. L. Naylor of this city, passed through the city last night en route from Oak River to North- ome, where he will visit at the cabin of his brother, Edgar Nay lor, and mcldentally take in the deer and moose shooting in that vicinity. J. F. Boos, manager of the sales department and E. M. Bige- low, head bookkeeper at bhe Crookston Lumber company’s sawmill in this city, left last night for Tenstrike and from that city will go to the Battle River coun try in quest of deer and moose. They will be gone from the city about two weeks. A party consisting of J. C. Wood and R. Phelps of St. Paul and Dr. Courtney, R. D. Holden and Adam Bellmuth of Brainerd passed through the city last night in a special car attached to the north bound passenger for Tenstrike. From that city they will go to Robidean lake, where they expect to kill some deer and moose during the open season.
