THEY MADE -GREAT TEAM What the Messrs. Browne and George Did for Tke Business Men’s Club. PAVILLION WILL BE ERECTED ON LAKE FRONT. "Bus‘iness Men's Club Perfects Ar- rangements for Entertain- " " ment of Excursions. Men’s Club last evening was well tlattended by both directors and members. Messrs. Browne and George reported thad they had hmehed soliciting funds for the Brainerd excursion and turned over to the treasurer the sum’ of S0 $500.50, while some remains to be collected. The money was all secured in small amounts, and it seems almost incredible that the committee could have secured so much. Messrs. Browne and George were very properly ten- dered a unanimous vote of thanks "G for the highly successful manner “(;+/ in which they had performed a _ difficult and arduous_task. One *% hundred dotlars of the money raised will be paid to the Brain- erd officials having the excursion in charge when they reach Be- midji Wmle the rest will be used iy toprepareaccommodation for this and future excursions and any balance that remains will be- come a part of the regular funds of the Business Men's Club. The committee on pavillion was instructed to build the founda- tion and floor for a permanent pavillion it being the sense of the directors of the club that the city. stands in need of a good perma- nent pavillion for the: s accommoda- tion of ‘excursions and for other public purposes and whilea com- pleted building cannot be erected “at this time a beflmnmg will be % madp Numerous other minor ‘arrangements for the enfertain- ment of the Brainerd excursion and also of the Elks excursion from CGrand Forks, Crookston and St. Cloud were completed.
