The projectof having a joint club in the league with Crooksben is not favorably re- coived here generally and it is probable that the ultimate ar rangements will be for a serics of league games to be played here between the different teams of the Northern league during the season. Needy Family Homeless. Tire destroyed the dwelling house of Nels Peterson, situated just west of thevillage of Bagley, yesterday morning. Al the household effects were burned and the loss is a very severe one to the family, who are in needy circumstances. The fire had its origin from a defective chimuey and the building was uninsured. Popularity of Bowling Wanes. G G. The jury in the case of Joseph Burns vs. Albert Sennes, an action for malicious prosecution, returned a verdict for the de- fendant. The case of Pot,m Lind vs. cover money held in trust, went to the jury shortly before noon. Both parties to the action are residents of Blackduck and the defendant is engaged in the sa- loon business there. The case of R, J. Rafidal vs. Carl J. Johnson is being tried thisafternoon. Deputy Coroner Marcum who went to Tenstrike yesterday to view the remains of Wm.
