James Todd, who is serving a sentence at the county jail for violations of the state game laws and is better known as ‘“Jimmy the Fisherman,” is quite ser- iously ill and it is feared that he has tuberculosis. J. P. Burke is over from Ny- more today. Mr. Burke and family have just been released from smallpox quarantine. They were placed in guarantine Feb. 4 and are naturally much pleased to regain liberty. All four mem- bers of the family had the disease, Gertrude Graig, a clairvoyant, who recently stunted in Bemidji, is under arrest at Brainerd. She s charged with being unduly giddy. A gentlemen who con- sulted her occult power it is said was touched for a pocketbook by the fair Gertrude, An investi- gation is being conducted. The recent thaws have put the sidewalks of the city in a very bad condition.
